Throughout the year HomeStart needs volunteers to help us support the homeless community in Greater Boston. We have opportunities for both individuals, as well as, corporate teams. Volunteering can happen for a one-time event or on an on-going basis. Check out some of our examples below. Ride in this peer-to-peer fundraising event, an outdoor spin marathon held each winter. Or, serve as volunteer event staff.

Serve as a volunteer during a housing placement event.

PLACEMENT EVENT SUPPORT
Each year we gather during December to celebrate our clients on their success and participation in the housing process.
CLIENT HOLIDAY CELEBRATION
Help us as we host fundraising events. Several times a year we need people to greet guests and serve as event support.
FUNDRAISING EVENT VOLUNTEER
Buy or obtain donations of new household goods to fill baskets and welcome individuals and families into their new homes.
WELCOME HOME BASKETS
Each year, with the City of Boston, we spend the night canvassing the city to take a census of the homeless population. Join us to identfiy the need.

Each Wednesday, we open our doors to anyone looking for housing. Work with us to help find housing and apply for available services.
