Providing Basics
Our Stabilization team is the primary support system for many formerly chronically homeless clients living with disabilities and on fixed incomes, who because of COVID-19 are struggling to afford food and household supplies.
Out of the Shelters
Our Housing Search team is continuing their work to move clients into permanent housing. Crowded shelters make social distancing difficult and the funds to support these urgent moves is essential right now.
Expecting Evictions
While the moratorium on evictions has stopped the legal process for now, the loss of income for many low and middle-class families is going to have a long-term impact. HomeStart is preparing for an increased need to our eviction prevention program.
-

"Home Starts with People. Breaking cycles of homelessness starts with support. That is why HomeStart is people-first: grounded in the power of building authentic, supportive relationships between advocates and the people we work with."
