Looking for a Team Building Opportunity? Support ICycle!

Your Team Can Make a Difference...Together!

Who is HomeStart?

For the last 20 years, HomeStart has permanently housed more than 10,000 individuals living on the street and in shelters, and has prevented nearly 3,000 families from experiencing homelessness.  HomeStart is uniquely positioned to dramatically reduce homelessness.

On any given night in Boston, there are 7,600 people experiencing homelessness: 3,384 individuals and 4,165 people in families. Over the course of a year, more than 15,000 people will experience homelessness in Boston, and local, state, and federal sources will spend over $200M in emergency services to address the problem in Boston.

HomeStart serves hundreds of people each year in the Greater Boston Area.  Our clients include single parents and their children, victims of domestic violence, veterans, and persons with disabilities.  All of them are living at or below the poverty line.

What is ICycle?

HomeStart's ICycle is the ONLY Boston all-day outdoor cycling/spinning fundraiser in the winter. The event will take place in two locations in mid February 2022:

  • The plaza of One International Place in Boston's Financial District

  • The plaza of Kendall Center in Cambridge's Kendall Square

Your company/team will participate in an hour-long spin class for a worthy cause, in support of HomeStart's Mission to end and prevent homelessness in the Greater Boston Area.

How Can You Help?

Your team will ride together in support of our neighbors living on the streets. This event is a reminder to all that spending just one hour out in the cold, rain, or snow is nothing compared to living without the comforts of a home.

Two ways to get involved:

  • Peer-to-Peer Fundraising: Encourage your team to sign up and start fundraising. Team members will have an individual fundraising page on our fundraising platform, this page can be customized to share stories and goals. We ask that each participant fundraise or donate $350 or more to ride with the team.

  • Event Sponsorship: Make a company donation to the event and sponsor riders from your team. Your sponsorship will allow members of you team to be a part of the event without additional peer to peer fundraising.

Achieve Your Team Goals Together!

All fundraisers are a valuable part of our event and we are grateful for all the support we receive. We like to support a little healthy completion so each year HomeStart awards the annual ICycle Cup to the team that has the greatest team spirit and success in fundraising.
